Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor and model, who has a particular interest in Indian films. The actress was also named the winner at the 2007 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. A member of a multiracial clan comprised of Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian heritage, Fernandez spent the early phase of her career in Bahrain. Her degree was in mass communications from the University of Sydney and worked as a journalist for the TV within Sri Lanka for a considerable time before entering the modeling industry. In 2006, she was crowned as Miss Universe and became one the most well-known models from Sri Lanka. Her role as Jasmine was cast in Sujoy's film "Aladin" as part of her professional tour through India. In 2011 she was cast as the character of Priya as the lead female on "Murder 2".
