Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered to be among the top athletes. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) took them in as adoptees. They grew in the Houston metropolitan area. Simone was interested in gymnastics when she was just six in a day-care field excursion at Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years under the direction of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a medal for vault and also a medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin competing in elite levels of the sport. In less than two years, she had become the best in her sport. Biles was notable for her consistency in performance, vivacious character, as well as the difficulty of her routines across the four events she competed in: vaulting, uneven bars and balance beam.
